EnquireZoheb is a former professional cricketer with Essex CCC whose journey through the game reflects both elite performance and deep-rooted experience in player development. Signed by Essex at just 16, he progressed through the county pathway system from the age of nine, giving him a unique, first-hand understanding of what it takes to succeed at every stage of the modern cricketing pathway.
He made his First-Class debut at 18 against Yorkshire in 2001 and went on to establish himself as a high-quality batsman, scoring two First-Class centuries and maintaining an average of over 40. One of his standout achievements came in 2004, when he was named Essex Second XI Player of the Year across the country after amassing 811 runs in just 11 innings at an exceptional average of 101.
Since transitioning from professional cricket, Zoheb has built a strong reputation as a coach and mentor, with a proven track record of developing young players from pathway level into the professional game. His experience also extends to working with international-level cricketers.
Currently, Zoheb works closely with a number of aspiring pathway players, focusing on both technical excellence and personal development. His coaching philosophy is centred on building a strong technical foundation while empowering each individual to become adaptable, ensuring they can maximise their own unique strengths in competitive environments.
